Congratulations to our 2010 Award Winners!

Woods Bros Realty celebrated its top agents with an Awards Banquet Thursday at the Country Club of Lincoln, in memory of the late chairman emeritus Pace Woods.

Vladimir Oulianov of the Country Club office was named the Salesperson of the Year for 2010, with the most closed volume of listings and sales, along with most transactions closed. Vladimir and Craig Loeck of the Lincolnshire office were both recipients of the Century Award for closing over 100 transactions in the calendar year. Loeck also recieved the Most Closed Listings Units award.

Shelly Nitz of the Seward office was honored with the Woods Bros Realtor of the Year award for 2010. Her family surprised her with an appearance when she received the award.

Kent Obrist of the Country Club office won the Excellence in Outgoing Referrals award for helping people relocate in other areas. Sales Couple of the Year went to Rob and Teresa Predmore of the Lincolnshire office, and the year’s Rising Star for most success within the start of her career was Marsha Turbett of the SouthPointe office.

Outstanding Achievement awards were given to those agents who had the most increase in production from 2009 to 2010. Miranda Watson of the Lincolnshire office was the overall winner with a 119 percent increase. Other winners by office were:

Brad Carter completes Woods Bros Boot Camp training

Congratulations to Woods Bros Lincolnshire agent Brad Carter who completed Woods Bros grueling Boot Camp training program.

Boot Camp is a 12-week training program designed to help agents achieve higher personal goals in their career.

Topics included in the 12 Weeks to Better Performance Camp include: prospecting, pricing presentations, buyer counseling, presenting and negotiating and much more.

Participants must commit to completing all homework assignments and to earn a minimum of 1,000 points per week. In addition, they must support their team and work toward team goals, obtain at least three listings or sales to graduate and maintain a positive attitude.

Carter was recognized April 20 in a brief ceremony, where CEO Gene Brake presented him with his certificate.

Woods Bros Realty wins traveling trophy for political action

Woods Bros Realty has won the REALTORS Political Action Committee (RPAC) traveling trophy for 2009.

The traveling trophy is awarded to either Woods Bros Realty or Home Real Estate each year for the most participation in RPAC. Woods Bros Realty lost the first year, but has now won for the past ten consecutive years.

RPAC is the voice of REALTORS® on Capitol Hill, according to their web site. Since 1969 RPAC has been promoting the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States and is the number one trade association political action committee in the nation.

David Rutledge awarded CRS designation

rutledgedaveDavid Rutledge, a Woods Bros Realty sales professional, has been awarded the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Realtors who receive the CRS designation have completed advanced courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 38,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential, which is 4 percent of all Realtors.

Home buyers and sellers can be assured that CRS designees subscribe to the strict Realtor code of ethics, have access to the latest technology and are specialists in helping clients maximize profits and minimize costs when buying or selling a home.

Rutledge works out of the Woods Bros Realty Country Club Plaza office in Lincoln. He is a member of the Realtors Association of Lincoln, the Nebraska Realtors Association and the National Association of Realtors. He has also earned the GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute), the ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), and the SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) designations. He currently serves as a commissioner on the Nebraska Commission on Deaf and Hard of Hearing and is active in CI Sertoma. He is a retired Lincoln Public Schools principal. Judy Sasek named Realtor of the Year

sasekjudyThe Realtors Association of Lincoln (RAL) recently named Judy Sasek 2009 Realtor of the Year.

The award is given to a full-time Lincoln Realtor in recognition of his or her professionalism and outstanding service. Selection is based on organized real estate activity; business conduct and experience; and civic and volunteer activity.

Sasek is the managing broker of the Woods Bros Realty SouthPointe office. She earned her real estate license in 1990 and her Broker’s license in 2000.”I am deeply touched and sincerely grateful that I have been chosen as the recipient of this most high honor by our Realtor community,” Sasek said.

She is a past president of the local chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors (WCR), and holds her Council of Real Estate Managers and Brokers (CRB) and Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) designations. She received the RAL Outstanding Service Award in 2004 and the President’s Achievement Award in 2003. She has served on numerous RAL committees and has volunteered her time with many community projects. She has been on the RAL Board of Directors for seven years and is the current President Elect for 2010. She is also active in the Nebraska Realtors Association serving on the Professional Standards Committee and the board of governors for GRI.

Mary Artz named Affiliate of the Year

artzmaryThe Realtors Association of Lincoln (RAL) recently named Mary Poehlman Artz of Capitol Title 2009 Affiliate of the Year.

The award is given to an affiliate member of RAL in recognition of his or her professionalism and outstanding service. Selection is based on organized real estate activity; business conduct and experience; and civic and volunteer activity.Artz has been the Marketing Coordinator with Capitol Title for 11 years and has worked in the real estate industry in Lincoln for 25 years. She is involved in RAL, most recently chairing the Community Relations Committee, participating in Meals on Wheels, Make a Difference Day, the Lincoln Paint-a-Thon, and Salvation Army Bell Ringing as well as many other activities sponsored by the board. Artz also serves on a committee with the Nebraska Realtors Association and has been active in the Women’s Council of Realtors. Her personal interests include antiques, nature and outdoor activities.

Hartzell receives affordable housing award

Lois Hartzell, Vistar Homes, was named the 2008 recipient of the Dan Peterson Affordable Housing Award. Given in memory of their son, Bob and Joan Peterson presented the award to Hartzell at HBAL’s 59th annual installation and awards banquet January 12.”The Dan Peterson award is thought of as the most valuable award that someone in our local industry can receive, because it is one from the heart,” Hartzell said. “I am so very honored to receive such an award.”
