We’re excited to welcome Greg Wright as IT Network Analyst.
Wright comes to the Woods Bros Realty family after a 15-year career with The Gallup Organization. In his new role, he will be an integral part of the technology department, from evaluating existing systems to offering application and hardware support.
Wright also spent eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps as an intelligence analyst during the end of the Cold War, when he was honorably discharged. Wright is engaged to his former junior high sweetheart with whom he reconnected after 32 years (Check out the Journal Star article on his story here), and he has a 5-year-old son, Jack. In his spare time, he enjoys fitness, PC gaming and drumming with his son.
We’d like to welcome Mari Jo Mentzer as the new Director of Education for the Larabee School of Real Estate.
A native of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Mentzer earned her degree in adult education from Bellevue University. She has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, with three years specializing in real estate education. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in Colorado and writing. Mentzer has three adult children and two adorable grandsons with whom she enjoys spending her free time.
Amy Duval Carlson joins Woods Bros Realty as Regional General Counsel.
Carlson is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University and earned her law degree at Drake University in Des Moines. She previously was an assistant general counsel for Nationwide Insurance. She and her husband, Cliff, have two children: Heath, 11, and Hannah, 7. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and running.
She will serve as legal counsel both for HomeServices of Nebraska companies out of Lincoln and CBSHOME Real Estate companies in Omaha, both Berkshire Hathaway affiliates.
HomeServices of Nebraska recently hired Cortney Denker as Education Manager of the Larabee School of Real Estate and Jane Bartunek as Executive Assistant to the CEO.
Cortney Denker
Denker will oversee and promote real estate agent education programs at the Larabee School of Real Estate. She graduated with a degree in marketing and management from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. In addition to some marketing experience, she also worked as a business analyst for a liquor distributor in Omaha. She recently moved back to her hometown of Lincoln with her husband, Tyler, a CPA, to be closer to family. Outside work, she loves running and spending time with her family, friends, and their dog, Milo, a Golden Retriever.
Jane Bartunek
Bartunek is transferring to the corporate office to assist the CEO of HomeServices of Nebraska. Bartunek also grew up in Lincoln and is an East High graduate. She previously worked at the HOME Real Estate Pioneer Greens office as office manager for more than 20 years, and she also served as the MLS Administrator at the REALTORS® Association of Lincoln for nearly 10 years. Bartunek and her husband, Steve, have been married for 25 years and have a cat named Lucky. She enjoys NHRA Drag Racing, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and down time at home.
